Dear Family & Friends:

Yesterday was “Surf Day” for our Nepalese Beach Boy.

We all met at 24th Street, one of the hottest surfing venues in Newport Beach. Our dear friends, Paul & Denise Fejtek, opened up their beautiful beach home for us.

Mingma had an abundance of teachers for his surfing lesson, including my grandson, Josh Giger, and Paul. He entered the chilly waters of the Pacific with great bravery and determination. Fortunately, the surf was light, so it was a good day for a lesson. Mingma performed well, although it was clear he was a bit nervous and intimidated by this adventure at sea level.

After the surfing lesson, we all enjoyed pizza and wine on the rooftop deck of the Fejtek home.

Today is Disneyland.
