The “teahouse” is literally a plywood-constructed 4×6 room with no insulation between rooms. The 20,000 ft. peaks now come into view. Allan, keep the cameras rolling!!
Hi Bill,
About 4 years ago I followed your steps on a trek to Goack Shep and onto Kakapathar. I was 70, hit Tenbouche on my birthday.
You’re my hero as a grandfather and mountain man. March on, with God’s speed. I follow your every step.

Bill, your audio report came in loud and clear, here in Fullerton, CA. It reminds me of my time in Tengboche long ago, with Ama Dablam, magnificent in the background. Looking forward to your upcoming reports. Acclimatize well, my friend!

Your detailed descriptions had me closing my eyes and thinking of the hike from Namche to Tengboche. Absolutely lovely. I must admit, I was least fond of the accommodations in Pheriche, so I am sending good vibes your way in hopes of a toilet seat for you (on the same floor as your “bed”). Keep the details and correspondence coming- it’s very nice to hear what you are experiencing, Bill. I am living vicariously through you at this time, with complete admiration. Clarice
