I have received several inquiries about upcoming Everest programs where I will be talking about the mountain, my previous climbs and the upcoming documentary film:

October 20, 2012 sponsored by the Adventurers Club of Los Angeles as part of the annual “Night of High Adventure.” 5 pm-9 pm. The program features a social hour, a silent auction of exotic items collected from all over the world, a dinner, and several speakers, including Allan Smith and yours truly. Allan and I plan to preview the documentary film. The program will be given at the Odyssey Restaurant, 15600 Odyssey Drive, Grenada Hills, Ca. Charge: $85.00 per person. October 27, 2012 at the Gordon R. Howard Museum, 1100 W. Clark St., Burbank, Ca.
2 pm-3 pm. The program is sponsored by the Burbank Historical Society. No charge.
December 5, 2012 at Stanford University School of Business & Economics. 1 pm-4 pm. I will be part of a panel of high altitude climbers discussing the subject of “Decision Making and Risk Assessment in High Altitude Mountaineering.” Contact Markus Hallgren at markus.hallgren@usbe.umu.se for more information.
January 10, 2013 as part of the “Celebrity Series” sponsored by the Crescendo Chapter of the Guilds of the Orange County Performing Arts Center.10 am-11:30 am. The program will be given at the Bowers Museum, 2002 N. Main St., Santa Ana, Ca. Charge: $30.00 per person. Contact Priscilla Selman at 714-538-3602 for tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
Where charges are imposed, none of the proceeds go to me.
