Dear Family & Friends:
During the darkest days of World War II, King George VI came to the microphone of the BBC to deliver the annual Christmas message to the British Commonwealth.
He spoke these eloquent and immortal words:
I said to the man who stood at the Gate of the Year: “Give me
a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.” And he replied:
“Go out into the darkness, and put your hand into the Hand of God.
That shall be to you better than a light and safer than the known way.”
As we approach the New Year, I take comfort in these words, and look forward to the future with great hope, promise and anticipation for the good things to come.
I wish all of you God’s richest blessings, and I hope you have a Happy Holiday Season and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2016.

Great message, Bill.
Likewise, I wish you and your family continued blessings in the New Year.
Fond regards, K;-)
Good evening Bill,
Greetings from England.
I’m afraid I cannot offer you the eloquence of our long past King George but I would like to pass my very best wishes to you and your family for a very Happy and Healthy New Year and to thank you for the brightest of lights that you have brought to me with your wonderful reports and photos.
God Bless.
Tim Kehoe.
We need greatness again.
Thanks for the inspiration, Bill. I will talk to you soon.

Thanks Bill for the great words. This is my first time posting to your blog, though I have followed your climbs and use them as an inspiration. Happy New Year.
So glad to be a recipient of your always thoughtful, wise, inspiring and edifying words. Dave and i wish everything good for you and Sharon and your family in this new year.

A New Year’s thought from Ralph Waldo Emerson: ” What lies behind us and what lies ahead of ui are tiny matters compared to what lies inside us.”
Blessings to you, Bill, and Sharon.
