Dear Family & Friends:
Before I traveled to Washington to climb Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier, my wife and I took two of our children and their families to Bass Lake for a week of water sports. Don’t worry, I’m not going to show you my vacation photos! But, I had to share a couple of photos of Ollie riding on a banana boat with his Papa.
We had a good week in the state of Washington climbing Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier. Here is a 17-minute movie documenting our trip.

Simply OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!! Strong looking Hikers!!!!!!!! Never knew Mt Baker was that knarley!!!
Great video! Brought back some memories, and gotta love the approach to Rainier–truly spectacular. But dang, looks like you had some rotten snow conditions to contend with. Well done! I’m guessing this year’s climbing season is concluding early–I hadn’t heard of them having to put ladders over crevasses on Rainier. Kind of held my breath watching that section of the video.
Oh my….so beautiful…once again, Bill, thank you so very much for ‘taking me along’. Just loved your presentation …and of course…so very happy to see Ollie sharing good times with a wonderful Grandpa….Yes, God is good, indeed……
The rugged beauty of big mountains is impressive–nature’s ever changing wonders (waiting to be discovered/rediscovered).

Nicely done, Bill. It’s one thing to climb mountains, but something else altogether climbing them with family. Thanks for the preview. My ultimate goal is Mt. Ranier. I’m too old for anything loftier… right? 😉

Bill,
Thanks again for you great photos and video. It makes me feel like I am there. It would be interesting and helpful if at the end of a trip you posted some stats. I would like to know how far and how much gain you did each day.
This is one great adventure specially with your family… incomparable joy! I’ve watched the video and the place was nice. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
