Annual New Year’s Message

Costa Mesa, Ca.

December 31, 2019

Dear Family & Friends:

During the darkest days of World War II, King George VI came to the microphone of the BBC to deliver the annual Christmas message to the British Commonwealth.

He spoke these eloquent and immortal words:*

I said to the man who stood at the Gate of the Year: “Give me

a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.” And he replied:

“Go out into the darkness, and put your hand into the Hand of God.

That shall be to you better than a light and safer than the known way.”

As we approach the New Year, I take comfort in these words, and look forward to the future with great hope, promise and anticipation for the good things to come.

I wish all of you God’s richest blessings, and I hope you have a Happy Holiday Season and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2020.

  1. And Bill thank you for such positive and encouraging comments as we go into the New Year, with so many concerns facing all of us. Encouraging to see, That some of us can still see the light potential, instead of just the darkness. Happy new year Bill

  2. Happy New Year to you Bill and your family..it is one of your Canadian followers here..I apologize for taking several days to respond to your message, but I was quite ill with some sort of bug, that had me taken out of action for about a week.

I am planning to watch your video of your canoe trip this weekend.
