Langlois, Oregon
June 27, 2025
Dear Family & Friends:
I arrived at Port Orford, Oregon today and have now completed the BTAT. What a treat to see the Pacific Ocean. The 3-hour ride from Eugene to Port Orford was a continuation of the phenomenal beauty in the state of Oregon. Liz, my daughter’s roommate at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, runs a top-rated Bed & Breakfast in the nearby town of Langlois, so I stayed there tonight. What a beautiful home and a great place for me to celebrate the end of my journey. If you ever find yourself in this neck of the woods, be sure to stay at the Floras Lake House by the Sea in Langlois.
I still have a three hour ride from Port Orford to the airport at Medford, Oregon. The good news is I get to ride through the Jedidiah State Park, which is part of the Redwood State and National Park. I’ll share some photos and videos of this ride. I plan to fly home on Tuesday or Wednesday and have my bike transported home by Alan Cook.
Thanks so much to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. When I get home, I will do a trip summary and prepare a movie of this fantastic adventure.
Praise God for this fun and safe adventure. God is truly good.
Bill Burke

Amen!
Congratulations Bill! Spectacular trip.
Great job again Bill. Can’t wait to hear what you have as your “options” for future trips / adventures!
Well done, Bill! What a terrific way to celebrate, having Liz there. The clam chowder and Floras Lake House are worth a visit to Port Orford it seems. Will put those on our radar.
Looking forward to your BTAT adventure summation and movie chronicle.
All best,
k;-)
