Dear Family & Friends:
Happy 250th Birthday America!
Here is a video depicting my May/June, 2026 travel to Europe to view the World War II battlefields in the European theatre of operations as well as the Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau concentration camps in Poland.
I have also prepared a written report of these guided tours which will be included in my book “Life After Sixty.”

What an emotional, moving trip that must’ve been for you, Bill. I’ve visited several Holocaust museums in the US and Germany and read about WWII, including the book, “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” by Wm Shirer. The unfathomable dark, sinister side of man is bewildering and incomprehensible. And, alas, it continues today. Though extremely sad and depressing, I’m glad the concentration camps and memorials are preserved as reminders of the sadness and sorrow caused by man against man, something we should strive to avoid.
By the way, Walter Ehlers was a beloved member of the Adventurers Club. He and his brother stormed Normandy and only Walter, though wounded, survived and received the Medal of Honor.

Thank you for sharing your tour with others, Bill! It is sobering but we must remember. What year do you expect to publish your book?
Bill as usual you take me to places I would never be able to visit and I thank you for it. Honoring this sad history on this particular time in our country’s history is even more meaningful. Thank you again and again.
