Dear Family & Friends:
On the darkest eve of World War II, King George VI came to the microphone of the BBC to deliver the annual Christmas message to the British Commonwealth.
He spoke these eloquent and immortal words:*
I said to the man who stood at the Gate of the Year: “Give me
a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.” And he replied:
“Go out into the darkness, and put your hand into the Hand of God.
That shall be to you better than a light and safer than the known way.”
As we start the New Year, I take comfort in these words and look forward to the future with great hope, promise and anticipation for the good things to come. I wish all of you God’s richest blessings, and I hope you have a Happy Holiday Season and a Happy, Healthy, Peaceful and Prosperous 2024.
It truly is a wonderful world, and God is good.

Happy New Year, Bill and family. Grateful that you came home safe and sound after your exciting and sometimes perilous adventures in 2023. Enjoy your precious family time.
Thank you, Bill. You and your loved ones are forever in my heart. Wishing you good strides and blissful times.
Thanks for that quote, Bill
It’s really inspiring. I’ve been remembering it throughout the day — to just put my hand in the Hand of God — and to trust that — and for that to be enough. It’s profound and relieves the burdens I think I have to carry by myself.
I love the quotes you reveal to us as they seem God inspired…just as your life has inspired all of us that follow you..our special friend. Safe and happy future to you and yours Bill and thank you for another armchair trip with you through 2023
Have a great New Year, Bill. Best wishes to you and Sharon and the entire Burke family. We love following your adventures.
God Bless you!
